The Fact of True Distance DriverS400

by TrueGolf Co., Ltd.

The Concept

TrueGolf Co., Ltd. is proud to be the first local brand to make available the two piece construction driver head technology into the introduction of the TrueGolf Distance Driver S400 driver for the benefit of Thai Golfing Community.

TRUEGOLF DISTANCE DRIVER S400 applied high technology, high-grade material and top quality craftsmanship product, normally only present in a higher priced Japanese brand such as Honma or Katana in the range of Baht 25-40k or even higher. TRUEGOLF DISTANCE DRIVER S400 provides matching quality as the leading Japanese brand, but with a lower price tag, providing more value for money to our perspective golfer.

The Product - The Head

TRUEGOLF DISTANCE DRIVER S400 is made of a two piece construction with cast 6AL-4V-titanium alloy cast body and super thin Micro-Fiber® Process 10-2-3 titanium COR+ Face face-plate and fused together to produce high precision, wider effective and higher COR hitting area. The face is 1.5 degree closed and designed with a draw bias concept for easy control. Others local product still using 4-piece construction, which have more than 25 inches of welding seam and have more possible weak points and excessive weight during the welding process and with smaller effective high COR hitting area illustrated here.

The following note is from: Tom Wishon Golf Technology - Tech Talk- A Discussion of Titanium Wood head Construction from www.wishongolf.com

3. Quality of the Titanium Welding
Titanium is one of the most difficult metals in the world to join by welding. Again, because Titanium is so reactive to oxygen, proper welding of the metal must be performed in an inert atmosphere to ensure proper strength of the weld. The highest quality Titanium welding is performed in vacuum welding chambers by skilled workers and followed by an internal inspection of the welding lines inside the wood head with a mini-scope inserted through a small hole in the skirt of the head. After all, in a 4-piece wood head with 25" of welding, there are a lot of possible areas for potential failure if the welding is not performed properly.

As you can see the industrial expert has suggested that the two piece construction is far superior to the 3-piece or 4-piece wood head construction.

  • Driver face is extreme-forged 10-2-3 beta titanium with Micro-Fiber® Process for higher strength to elasticity ratio for more Trampoline Effect performance.
  • The 10-2-3 Beta Titanium is Cold Rolled - this means better grain structure of the metal for more consistency all across the face.
  • 10-2-3 Beta Titanium has the highest strength to elastic modulus ratio of any titanium used for driver face design in the entire golf industry.
